How many people know the benefits of performing exercises that require larger muscles? Not many. The larger muscles require more calories to perform contractions. This increased calorie burn helps contribute to accelerated weight loss. Sure, weight loss is beneficial side effect, but so is--in males--extra testosterone. Extra testosterone is good because it enables the weight-lifter to build more mass.
So what are the large muscles?
--Abdominal
--Quadriceps
--Gluts
--Lats
--Chest
Though not an all inclusive list, you get the idea. When looking in the mirror, look at which muscles are the largest in your body. Those muscles are the ones you want to work first. So what are some exercises you can do to help build up these muscles and help turn your body into a calorie burning inferno?
